Nigerian actress begs for N12m for breast cancer surgery

Nollywood actress Tope Osoba has appealed for financial assistance to undergo a second surgery for breast cancer treatment.

Foluke Daramola, her colleague, highlighted the actress’ plight in an Instagram post, revealing that Osoba had previously undergone one surgery but requires another procedure to remove remaining cancerous particles. The cost of the second surgery is estimated at N12 million.

In a video shared by Daramola, Osoba’s hospital examination was shown, and it was disclosed that she has sought support from Bolaji Amusan, popularly known as Mr. Latin, the president of the Theatre Arts and Motion Pictures Practitioners Association of Nigeria (TAMPAN).

“It’s one of our colleagues. She has breast cancer. She has had one surgery. But they said there are still some particles in her breast that need to be removed,” Daramola explained.

“She needs about N10/N12 million for her to be able to get back on her feet. She has already sent a letter to our president, Mr. Latin. We are supporting her with what we can.”
