2024: Nigerian Afolayan scores as St. Pauli beat Lookman’s Atalanta

England-born Nigerian forward Dapo Afolayan scored and provided an assist as newly promoted Bundesliga club St. Pauli defeated Atalanta 3-0 in a pre-season game.

Also, in action for Atalanta was Super Eagles forward Ademola Lookman, who played for 78 minutes before he was replaced.

St Pauli took the lead over Atalanta in 58 minutes. And in the 68th minute Afolayan made it 2-0.

In the 70th minute, St Pauli went 3-0 ahead with Afolayan providing the assist for Carlo Boukhalfa to score.

Atalanta would hope to put behind the disappointing loss to St. Pauli as they look forward to the UEFA Super Cup against Real Madrid.
