NMA urged to explore dialogue to achieve goals-KSACA
Nigerian Medical Association (NMA) has been urged to explore dialogue and negotiations in order to achieve its goal of improved Healthcare delivery in Kano state.
The Director-General, Kano state Agency for the Control of Aids, Dr Sabitu Y. Shu’aibu Shanono made the plea on Wednesday when he received the newly elected executives of the Nigerian Medical Association, Kano state branch who called on him in his office.
This was contained in a statement issued by the agency Public Relations Officer Aminu Bello Sani and sent to Solacebase on Wednesday.
The statement said Dr Sabitu Shanono said the government of Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje in its entirety appreciative on the role of NMA as a key stakeholder in the health sector.

He expressed the appreciation of state government for the laudable initiative of the association and its contribution in the COVID 19 response in the state.
He added that the door of the Agency is always open and ready to collaborate with the Association to move the state forward in term of healthcare delivery.
Earlier, Kano NMA Chairman, Dr Usman Ali, said the association organises medical outreach in selected LGAs of 3 senatorial zones for a free consultation, medication and surgery and those deemed to be with severe cases are referred to secondary and tertiary facilities.
