JUST IN: NNPP heads to Supreme Court over Kano governorship judgement
The New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) has headed to the Supreme Court to appeal the judgment of the Appeal Court sitting in Abuja that affirms the nullification of Abba Kabiru Yusuf as Kano State Governor.
In the notice of Appeal sighted by SOLACEBASE, the NNPP is the appellant and Abba Kabir Yusuf as first respondent, All Progressive Congress as the second respondent, and the Independent National Electoral Commission as the third respondent.
SOLACEBASE had reported that the Court of Appeal last Friday affirmed the ruling of the election petitions tribunal that removed Abba Kabir Yusuf as Kano State Governor and gave the victory to Nasiru Yusuf Gawuna of APC.

The NNPP appealed the judgment of the Appeal Court on ten grounds of miscarriage of justice.
The party said the learned justices of the court of appeal erred in law and occasioned a grave miscarriage of justice to the prejudice of the appellants when having concurrently held as did the trial tribunal.
