The New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), Kano Municipal Chapter, has suspended its Chairman, Ibrahim Rabiu Change, and his Deputy, Zakari Mamuda Koki, for six months over alleged poor performance and failure to provide effective leadership.
This was announced in a statement issued by the Deputy Publicity Secretary of the party, Sadik Adam Danba’ura on Saturday.

The statement said the decision was adopted during a meeting held at the party’s secretariat in Sharada, where 22 out of the 28 executive members endorsed the suspension.
“They have failed to convene meetings as stipulated in the party’s constitution and have not been inclusive in their leadership approach,” Danba’ura stated. “We took this decision in the best interest of the party, to safeguard its integrity and ensure unity among members.”

However, the party is yet to announce who will assume the chairmanship and deputy roles during the suspension period.
