A group of Northern foreign exchange operators under the umbrella of APC Northern Nigeria Forex Change Operators for Tinubu/Shettima Campaign Organization has declared its total support to the candidature of All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential candidate Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Speaking on behalf of the group, Chairman of the Northern Forex Change Operators Alhaji Adamu Danjuma Isa Bakin Wapa said the group is at the Abuja headquarters of the Tinubu/Shettima campaign office to pledge its support as well as to seek for intervention on the current issues affecting the operation of forex change.
He explained that the group consist of operators in all the 19 northern states and as such there is a need for the APC campaign team to consider the group in all its activities.
He noted that, the group is seeking for urgent intervention in what is currently happening between operatives of EFCC and the operators in regards to the hike in Dollar price in the exchange market.

‘’Why should our members be harassed whenever there is hike in the price of dollars by the EFCC but that is not the case when there’s hike in the prices of rice or other commodities in the market,‘’ Bakin Wapa said.
While receiving the group on behalf of the Tinubu/Shettima campaign team, Jigawa state governor Alhaji Muhammad Badaru Abubakar revealed that, government will surely look into their issue with a view of wading into it to rectify issues.
He further called on the group to expand it to national level for effective and efficient activities adding that their demands will surely be looked into and something will soon be done.
