NUC lauds progress of KHAIRUN

The National Universities Commission (NUC) has lauded the growth and progress of Khalifa Isyaku Rabiu University, Kano (KHAIRUN).

NUC Executive Secretary, Professor Abdullahi Yusufu Ribadu made the commendation when he received the management team of KHAIRUN, led by the Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of the Governing Council, Professor Kabiru Isyaku, who paid him a courtesy visit at the commission’s headquarters in Abuja on Friday.

He confirmed that the review of KHAIRUN’s operational licence had been approved and assured the delegation that the updated licence would be signed and delivered to the university by Monday.

Professor Ribadu reiterated the Commission’s commitment to supporting the growth and development of KHAIRUN and addressing any future challenges.

This was disclosed in a statement signed by KHAIRUN Ag. Director, Corporate Affairs and Marketing, Bilal Dahiru Tijjani, on Saturday.

It said during the visit, Prof. Isyaku expressed sincere appreciation to the NUC for its warm reception and longstanding support.

He commended the Commission for its pivotal role in promoting quality and standards in Nigerian higher education.

The university’s Vice-Chancellor, Professor Abdulrashid Garba, provided an overview of KHAIRUN’s history, academic offerings, and founding mission.

He paid tribute to the institution’s founder, the late Khalifa Isyaku Rabiu, whose enduring legacy in Qur’anic education, philanthropy, and formal learning continues to shape the university’s vision.

Professor Garba also lauded the NUC for its consistent support of KHAIRUN and other institutions across the country.
