NUJ Kano Council inaugurates electoral committee

Kano State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) has inaugurated a five-member screening credentials committee to organise state elections.

SolaceBase reports that the members were selected on Saturday during an emergency meeting held at the Press Centre, Kano.

Speaking at the occasion the state chairman of the council Comrade Abbas Ibrahim explained that the members of the committee were carefully selected by the congress based on their integrity.

The committee is being headed by Salisu Babangida from the Ministry of Information chapel, Ali Sidi Sharfai of ARTV as Secretary while Abdussalam Na’iya Gwammaja of Radio Kano, Wasila Abdullahi Ladan of Pyramid Radio and Elizabeth Yila Lamido of NTA, Kano as members of the committee.
