Nigerian music star, Olamide Badoo has achieved another worldwide record as his latest EP, “Ikigai (生き甲斐), Vol. 1,” debuted at number 13 on the Billboard World Albums chart.

This demonstrates Olamide’s expanding prominence in global music and this is the seventh time Badoo’s music has appeared on this chart.

“Ikigai” startled fans when it was released. Listeners embraced the project, and gave it a good reception.

The title is derived from a Japanese concept that means “a reason for living”.

“Ikigai” joins previous successful Olamide ventures that have made it to the Billboard World Albums top. These include: “Carpe Diem,” “999,” “Uy Scuti,” “Lagos Nawa,” “The Glory,” and “Eyan Mayweather.”

Badoo’s latest breakthrough solidifies his status as a major figure in Nigerian music, with a rising global appeal.
