Over 11,000 job seekers applied for Kano anti-graft agency less than 100 slot vacancies in 3 days- Muhuyi

More than 11,000 applicants have applied for less than 100 job slots opportunities at the Kano State Public Complaints and Anti-Corruption Commission in the third day of opening the application portal.

In a notice on the Commission’s website, the application portal opened officially on April 7th, 2025 and expected to close by midnight on Sunday, April 13, 2025.

The commission chairman, Barrister Muhuyi Magaji Rimingado, told SolaceBase on Thursday that at 6.30 pm, about 10, 757 applicants have registered on the official portal for the job slots.

According to him, by 10.00 pm on Thursday, more than 11,000 applicants have applied

Rimingado, who attributed the surge in the application to the high unemployment level and the reputation built by the commission over the years, despite a major requirement that the applicants must be indigenes of the state.

‘’We decided to make the application process entirely online through the Commission’s official portal for integrity, fairness and transparency, so that we can give equal opportunity to all the applicants,’’ Rimingado said.

He noted that only shortlisted candidates will be contacted, assuring that no qualified candidates will be shortchanged.

SolaceBase reports that to be eligible, applicants must possess a valid National Identity Number (NIN), Bank Verification Number (BVN), and must be between the ages of 25 and 30 as of April 30, 2025.

Candidates are also expected to be physically, mentally, and psychologically fit, and free from any criminal conviction.

Educational qualifications required range from SSCE/NECO/GCE with five credits (including Mathematics and English) to OND, NCE, HND, and Bachelor’s Degrees in relevant fields. Graduate applicants must present an NYSC discharge or exemption certificate.

The available positions include:

– Assistant Investigator (GL 06) for OND and ND holders

– Investigator (GL 07) for NCE and Advanced Diploma holders

– Superintendent II for candidates with HND or Bachelor’s Degrees

Applicants must also have basic computer literacy, particularly proficiency in Microsoft Office, while skills in other data tools are considered an added advantage.
