Paris 2024 Women’s Football: Plumptre hails Super Falcons’ display against Spain
Nigerian player, Ashleigh Plumptre has talked up Super Falcons’ display in the defeat to Spain.
The Super Falcons lost their second game at the 2024 Olympic Games, going down 1-0 to the world champions in Nantes on Sunday night.

Spain’s Alexia Putellas scored the winning goal from a superb free kick in the closing stages of the game.
Plumptre, who missed out of the Olympics due to injury, praised her teammates for their performance.

“This team knows how to defend – sheesh!
Good fight @NGSuper_Falcons – proud to watch,” she wrote on X.
The team will now take on Japan in their last group game on Wednesday.
