Paris Olympics: ‘I was determined to shine’ — Ofili
Nigerian athlete, Favour Ofili has said she was determined to showcase her talents to the world after she was omitted from the women’s 100m at the ongoing 2024 Olympics Games.
Ofili qualifed for the event but was not registered by officials of the Athletics Federation of Nigeria (AFN) and Nigeria Olympic Committee (NOC).

On Sunday, the 21-year-old won her women’s 200m heat in a brilliant fashion, coasting home in a time of 22.24s.
The athlete said she was eager to put in her best despite what happened earlier.

“Despite the setbacks, I was determined to shine. Mental preparation was key. Regardless of what happened, I was determined to be ready. When I step on the track, I aim to cross the line before anyone else.
“We are all Olympians, and I treat every competitor the same,” she was quoted by making of champions.
