PHOTOS: Colleagues, families gather as WOFAN staff tie the knot in Kano

The management and staff of the Women Farmers Advancement Network (WOFAN), alongside partners, family members and friends, gathered on Friday to celebrate the wedding of Abdullahi Dahiru Usman, Data and Communication Officer of the organisation, and his bride, Safiya Nasir Mu’az.

The bride, Safiya, is a guidance counsellor at WOFAN Comprehensive Schools and Islamiyya, Kano, an educational arm of the organisation known for combining formal education with vocational skills development.

SolaceBase reports that the wedding activities were held over two days, beginning with a wedding reception on Friday, attended by colleagues and well-wishers who came together to honour the couple.

The celebration continued on Saturday with the wedding Fatiha, conducted at Bayero University Kano, old site in accordance with Islamic rites, drawing a large turnout of guests from within and outside Kano.

The event reflected the strong sense of community within WOFAN, as staff, partners and associates joined the families to celebrate the union and offer prayers for a successful married life.
