PHOTOS: Gov. Yusuf, Emir Sanusi attend Eid prayer, call for sustained Ramadan values

The Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, on Friday joined the 16th Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi II, and thousands of Muslim faithful observed the Eid-el-Fitr prayer at the Eid Ground at  Kofar Mata.

SolaceBase reports that the prayer, which marked the end of the holy month of Ramadan, was led by Emir Sanusi, who also delivered a sermon emphasizing the need for Muslims to sustain the virtues and lessons learned during the fasting period.

The Emir urged the faithful to continue demonstrating discipline, patience, charity, and devotion beyond Ramadan, noting that these values are essential for building a morally upright society.

He also called on government at all levels to prioritize security, stressing that peace and stability remain critical for development and the well-being of citizens.

Governor Yusuf, alongside top government officials, traditional leaders, and dignitaries, joined the large congregation in observing the two-rakat prayer.

The Eid gathering witnessed a massive turnout, with a large number of worshippers from across Kano State converging at the historic Kofar Mata Eid Ground to celebrate the festival.

Eid-el-Fitr is one of the most significant religious celebrations in Islam, marking the successful completion of Ramadan, a month dedicated to fasting, prayer, and reflection.
