PHOTOS: Jubilation as Senator Barau observes eid prayers in Kabo

The Deputy President of the Senate, Senator Barau I Jibrin, has joined other Muslims to observe eid prayers in his home town, Kabo Local Government Area (LGA) of Kano North Senatorial District.

Senator Barau along with his entourage observed the eid prayers around 9 am. amid a mammoth crowd as residents across Kabo LGA trooped out to perform the prayers.

It would be recalled that Senator Barau performed this year’s Eid-el-Fitr prayers in Kabo.

This was contained in a statement issued by Ismail Mudashir, Special Adviser to the Deputy President of the Senate on Media and Publicity, on Sunday, in Kano.

Addressing newsmen shortly after the prayers, Senator Barau said he observed the eid prayers in his home town to celebrate and connect with his constituents – relatives, friends and supporters.

Reiterating the commitment of the Federal Government to address challenges facing the country, he urged Nigerians to continue to pray for peace, security and prosperity of the country.

“The choice to celebrate Eid in my home town is to rejoice and connect with my people. This is my home town and as you can see the people are very happy and excited to see me. So, this is necessary every time.
