It’s been a minute since I last dropped anything here. I’ve been busy with the grind of the baseball season, giving picks, and doing some Summertime Chi. I also took a chance with the slots. I miss writing, researching betting angles, and making ’90s movie references. I’ll see to it that it gets done soon.
As for this article, I have a couple of updates about the website and me personally. Initially, I’ve chosen to move away from selling selections. I’m seeking a change in direction for Fast Break Bets. I must redirect my attention to the initial purpose behind launching this site. I aim to maintain transparency about the services I offer, yet I must seek a more effective approach given the lack of success in the business. It’s saturated with self-promotion, short-term sensationalism, and fraudulent activities. Accurate predictions can only be provided by a true expert. I acknowledge that I have a lot to discover in this field.
On that note, be more active here and in #GamblingTwitter by contributing more than picks. Time will tell what that entails. Dropping “tout” from my title relieves me mentally.

I can be more myself, not a pro bettor. That may seem silly. I was clear that I wasn’t. But I wanted to keep a sharp image. I never felt comfortable with that, so I’m looking forward to the upcoming change.

“The importance of perseverance is something that we are all well-acquainted with. But I had misunderstood. Success comes from persistently improving and investing, not persistently doing what’s not working.”
I need help to sell picks. So, instead of grinding, I will invest in self-improvement and the site in different ways. I am still determining the specifics, but I have some ideas.
Another compelling argument for stepping away from the role of tout is that it has the potential to bring about greater financial and mental fulfilment. Unlike most touts, I succeed with my picks and projections, enabling me to amass a substantial bankroll. I am still striving to transition into a full-fledged professional bettor, with most of my income derived from betting. Still, my small fee wasn’t worth the extra work anymore. I loved my subscribers; they were all very supportive. Also, losing others’ money has hurt more than losing my own. So, the losing days got to me more than usual. Since managing your emotions is paramount, I should cut this unneeded stress.

Many years ago, I began my website as a blog to instruct novices and enhance their skills. I intend to give more attention to that aspect now. The media consistently churns out subpar content and information. Nonetheless, I will continue providing a subscription for my forecasts as a resource for those interested. I want to be more hands-off with that aspect. This may seem like pick selling, and I see the argument. But I’ll be much less involved. I’d instead only give away that information after getting something in return. It helps maintain my edge.
Regarding personal news, I’ve recently taken on a new job and relocated (back) to Colorado. Consequently, I will only be able to provide picks occasionally due to potential limitations in my availability during the day caused by my work schedule. But, the projections will be more hands-off. Also, posting plays may be at different times. I will be in Aspen, working for a skiing and outdoor program. If you’re a skier, visit!
Final Thoughts
In conclusion, I must stop selling picks. It’s a must for my growth and Fast Break Bets. It lets me return to the site’s original purpose: to educate and empower the betting community. I want to do this without the pressures and ethical issues of selling picks.
I’m looking forward to sharing valuable content and insights. I wish to learn alongside all of you.
I’m eager for this next chapter. It will bring a new job, a move back to Colorado, and a fresh perspective. Thanks for your continual support, and I’m excited for you to accompany me on this journey. Let’s strive for improvement and relish the process together!
