Police arrest 20-year-old who killed stepmother, daughter in Kano

The police have arrested a twenty year old boy, Ghadaffi Sagir who killed his step mother with a sharp object and strangulated her daughter in Kano.

SOLACEBASE reports that the accused committed the crime on Saturday night around 11.00pm, at Rijiyar Zaki around Layin Dorawanyan Kifi, Ungogo local government area of Kano State.

Confirming the arrest to SOLACEBASE on Sunday, Chairman, Ungogo local government council, Engr. Abdullahi Garba Ramat, said the accused claimed to have killed his step mother, Malama Rabi as she was the cause of separation between his mother and father, Malam Sagir Maimagani.

He said the suspect said he killed the daughter because she saw him committed the crime of killing the mother.

Also confirming the development to SOLACEBASE, Kano Police image maker, SP Abdullahi Kiyawa said the suspect was arrested yesterday and confessed to the crime.

Kiyawa said the police have commenced investigation into the crime.
