JUST IN: Police arrest ex-Kano anti-corruption boss, Muhuyi Magaji Rimingado
The Nigerian Police Force (NPF) on Friday arrested the immediate past chairman, Kano Public Complaints and Anti-Corruption Commission, Barr. Muhuyi Magaji Rimigado.
According to eyewitnesses, the police came in a truckload, fully armed in a Gestapo manner, allegedly threatening to shoot whoever prevented them from carrying out their act.
An eyewitness told SolaceBase that Rimigado was arrested at his Law Firm on Zaria road in Kano metropolis.
Recalls that Muhuyi Rimingado was arrested and detained in January 2025 by the Zone One Police over the seizure of properties believed to be proceeds of crime belonging to a top APC chieftain.
It was gathered that the arrest was allegedly under the instruction of the IGP.

Rimingado was released on bail later that night but was asked to report to the Force Headquarters in Abuja for further questioning.
He was the Kano Anti-Corruption chairman as of then.
‘’He asked them to show him the warrant of arrest or the reasons for his arrest, which they outrightly declined.
‘’They claimed to come from the Police Force Headquarters, Abuja, ’’ one of the eyewitnesses told SolaceBase
”When we got to the Bompai Police headquarters, we were told that the police team are from the IGP Squad in Abubakar, a lawyer in his chamber, Ridwan Zakariyya confirmed.
”They tried to seize my phone, threatening that they would shoot me, the lawyer said.
”Presently, the police team just drove out of Bompai Police Headquarters to an unknown destination.”
When contacted, Kano Police Command Spokesman, CSP Abdullahi Kiyawa, told SolaceBase to give ample time to find out the alleged arrest.
