Police arrest two associates of wanted notorious terrorist, wife in Kano

The Kano State Police Command has arrested a wife alongside two associates of a wanted Chadian terrorist named Ahmad Adam Abba.

The notorious terrorist was the alleged mastermind behind the killing of 17 people in Chad who also attempted to establish a terror base in the state.

SolaceBase reports that the Commissioner of Police, Salman Dogo Garba, speaking at a news conference on Friday at the Bompai Police Headquarters, said while Abba managed to escape from Nigeria, his wife and two associates—another Chadian named Jibrin Mohammed (42) and a Nigerian accomplice—were captured in a decisive police operation.

He said the arrests followed the January 24 security alert issued by the command where it urged the public to report suspicious activities after intelligence reports indicated the presence of suspected terrorists in the state.
