Police confirm arrest of 7 content creators for blocking road leading to Kano Gov’t House
The Kano State Police Command has confirmed the arrest of seven persons, two adults and five underage, for obstructing traffic near the roundabout by the State’s Government House in Kano while attempting to film a video for content creation.
The Command’s spokesperson, SP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa on Friday night told SolaceBase that the residents apprehended them and handed them over to the police, seeing the blockade.
According to him, the suspects intentionally blocked the road at the popular junction, all in a bid to record a film for content creation.
‘’It will surprise you that a two-year-old boy was among the children who painted their faces with a white colour used for the blockade, ‘’Kiyawa said.
‘’Two of the suspected culprits are adults while the others are underage.’’

Kiyawa said the command is already in discussion with the parents of the minors arrested with them to facilitate their release.

He added that the Command is committed to maintaining public safety and order, and will not hesitate to take necessary measures to address this issue. This may include arresting and prosecuting offenders.
