Police launch investigation into attack on Benue FA chairman

The Federal Capital Territory Police command have swung into action to unravel those behind the attempted assassination of the Benue Football Association chairman, BSFA, Chief Barrister Paul Edeh.

Gunmen suspected to be assassins on Sunday, July 21, broke into the residence of the football administrator.

They made away with valuables belonging to the Edeh family with phones and money belonging to his wife and children taken away. 

Edeh told newsmen; “I’m still in shock because such an attack which was done only on my house is unbelievable.

“It was around 6am that I received a call from Abuja that my house was burgled and that my room was ransacked with my laptops which contain several information and documents.

“The invaders also took away my wife’s and children’s phones including other valuables. The incident has been reported to FCT Police.”
