A senior lecturer at Bayero University, Kano, Professor Mainasara Yakubu Kurfi, has announced the death of his father.
Kurfi announced in a Facebook post, stating that his father passed away on Thursday night.

The former Head of the Department of Mass Communication also noted that the funeral prayer took place Friday morning in Kurfi town, Katsina State.

“Inna lillahi wa Inna Ilayhi raji’un. With a heavy heart, I share the news that my beloved father passed away on Thursday night,” he wrote, praying for Allah’s mercy and forgiveness for his late father.
