Protest: Man killed as hoodlums loot stores in Kano
A man in his mid-twenty was shot dead on Thursday afternoon after hoodlums broke into a shop with food items in Kano.
SolaceBase reports that the store located at Sarari Quarters, Dala Local Government area, was broken into around 11:30 AM.
The hoodlums broke into the store filled with rice, sugar, flour, spaghetti and other food items.

An eyewitness told SolaceBase that the miscreants overpowered the security guard and looted the store.

According to him, policemen were later invited to address the situation.
However, after the arrival of the policemen, teargas and gunshot were heard.
Some of the hoodlums still went behind the shop trying to continue the looting, later a gunshot was heard and one of the miscreants died on the spot.
The deceased has been recognised as one of the youth in the area.
