2024 Protests: NBA condemns destruction, looting of Kano high court, other properties
The Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) Ungogo in Kano has condemned the destruction of the High Court Main Complex Audu Bako Secretariat by hoodlums during the nationwide protest on Thursday.
The association also decried the looting and destruction of public and private property in the state.
This was contained in a statement issued by NBA Ungogo Chairman, Ahmad Abubakar Gwadabe, on Friday.
SolaceBase reports that hoodlums on Thursday looted and destroyed many properties both public and private in Kano including the High Court at Audu Bako Secretariat and NCC ICT Park among others.

The statement read,’’ On behalf of the Executive Committee and the entire members of NBA Ungogo Branch Kano. We express our heartfelt sympathy to the Hon. Chief Judge and the Kano State Judiciary, over the ugly incident of a frenzy break into the High Court Main Complex Audu Bako Secretariat Kano by hoodlums who shattered the premises, plundered valuable items, destroyed properties and set cars ablaze.
‘’The branch also calls on the Security agency to clamp down on thuggery in the state and get to the bottom of it and bring the perpetrators to book.’’
