PHOTONEWS: Rep member commissions multi-million naira primary healthcare centre in Kano

The Lawmaker, representing Nasarawa Federal Constituency of Kano State, at the National Assembly, Hon. Nasir Ali Ahmed on Tuesday commissioned a multi million naira primary healthcare centre at Gigiyun ward of his constituency.
According to the House of Representative Member, Nasir Ali Ahmed, said he intends to build the PHCs at all the 11 wards of the Nasarawa local government area, out of which 5 has been completed.
Ahmed said apart from the renovation , remodeling of the Gigiyun ward Primary Health Care, a maternity ward was also constructed at the healthcare.
‘’As part of my promise to my constituent, every pregnant woman who delivers baby at the PHC is entitled to N5,000 and delivery for every woman is free,’’ Nasir Ali Ahmed said.
‘’I have also concluded arrangement with the NYSC to provide two medical doctors to each of the PHCs in my constituency and their stipend will be catered for by me.’’

‘’The PHC is provided with an alternative power source to prevent electricity outages, that is solar and a special refrigerator for preserving vaccines.’’
The lawmaker seeking re-election said all these among others are geared towards enhancing access to qualitative healthcare services in his constituency.
