Rotary Club pledges to support educational development, vocational Skills in Kano
The newly elected President of the Rotary Club of Fagge Local Government, Kano State, Chimaobi Nwokoro, has promised to support education and vocational skills initiatives in Kano State for youths.
He made this pledge over the weekend in Kano during his installation as the 7th President of the club.
SolaceBase reports that Nwokoro noted that with Kano’s population exceeding fifteen million, the government alone cannot provide jobs for everyone. He emphasized the need for non-governmental organizations to step in and support the people.
“We will ensure that those who are not in school are supported to return to education while also acquiring skills,” he said.
“We recognize that the government cannot employ all the students graduating from schools in Kano. While the government can only employ a few, the Rotary Club will provide education and skills equipment for the people of Kano.”
Nwokoro added that the Rotary Club of Fagge is not limited to serving only the Fagge area.
He stated that the club can undertake projects anywhere in Kano 44 local governments and pledged to continue all existing projects as the new president.

He also called for support from the club members, saying, “To achieve these ambitious goals, I call upon each member of Rotary to actively participate and contribute their unique strengths. Your dedication, ideas, and hard work are the foundation upon which we will build our future. Let us unite under this shared vision, support one another, and work diligently to attain the goals we have set.”
Victor, one of the attendees of the investiture ceremony, prayed for the new President’s successful tenure.
“We hope that the new President will take the club to the next level, as there are many projects to educate for the benefit of the people of Fagge and Kano at large,” he said.
