Shekarau leads sympathy visit to Borno , donates N50m to flood victims
Former Kano State Governor, Senator Ibrahim Shekarau led a delegation of the League of Northern Democrats to Borno State on a sympathy visit following the devastating flood disaster.
SolaceBase reports that the visit was a gesture of solidarity with the people of Borno State, who have been severely affected by the floods.
During the visit, Senator Shekarau presented a cash donation of N50 million to the Borno State Governor on behalf of the League of Northern Democrats.
He said the donation aims to provide relief to the affected flood victims and support their recovery efforts.

The League of Northern Democrats is a prominent Northern political movement focused on promoting good governance, addressing security challenges, and tackling other pressing issues in Northern Nigeria.
The movement has been engaging in consultations with key stakeholders, including leaders of the North, former military personnel, and other dignitaries.


Receiving the delegation, Borno State Governor, Prof. Babagana Zulum appreciated the League of Northern Democrats over the gesture.
He assured them that the donation would be judiciously utilised.
