Students organise social media, entrepreneurship summit in Kano

The Students’ Representatives Council (SRC) of Aliko Dangote University of Science and Technology Wudil, has organized a social media and entrepreneurship summit for youths and women.

The SRC collaborated with industry experts, entrepreneurs, and social media influencers to provide valuable insights and practical guidance on utilizing social media platforms effectively to drive business growth and enhance entrepreneurship opportunities.

The event held on Tuesday at the university premises witnessed a tremendous turnout from students across various disciplines.

The organisers said it was aimed at equipping students with the necessary skills and knowledge to leverage social media platforms for entrepreneurial ventures.

In a remark, the university Vice Chancellor, Prof Musa Tukur Yakasai advised the students on the importance of being innovative and provide students with a platform to showcase their entrepreneurial ideas and receive feedback from industry experts and peers.

“Several innovative business concepts will emerged, ranging from e-commerce ventures to social media marketing agencies, reflecting the creativity and entrepreneurial spirit of the student body.”

He added that: “I am impressed with the SRC coming up with an event that the outcome, is very emphasizing on commitment to fostering an entrepreneurial mindset among students.“

He unveiled his intention to continue supporting them in organizing similar events and workshops in the future, further empowering students to become successful entrepreneurs in the digital era.
