SWIBODA, SolaceBase sign MoU for sports media development
Sports Without Borders Development Association (SWIBODA) and Fridabs SolaceBase Communications Limited have formalized a partnership to enhance sports media and journalism through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed in Kano.
The agreement establishes SolaceBase as a media consultant for SWIBODA, with a focus on capacity building, mentorship, and resource mobilization for sports programs.
The MoU also includes training initiatives aimed at improving sports journalism and fostering entrepreneurship in the sector.
Speaking at the signing ceremony, SWIBODA Chairman, Abdulgafar Oladimeji, emphasized the importance of leveraging media expertise to advance sports development.

He noted that the collaboration would create opportunities for practitioners while strengthening the role of media in promoting sports initiatives.
Under the terms of the MoU, SWIBODA will identify and refer media consultancy opportunities to SolaceBase, while the media organisation will provide strategic guidance and expertise in sports journalism.
Both parties have agreed on a framework for funding and project execution.
The agreement, governed by Nigerian law, remains in effect unless terminated with a 30-day notice from either party.

On his part, Executive Director, Fridabs SolaceBase Communications Limited who expressed happines over the agreement said the partnership is expected to play a significant role in shaping the future of sports media in Nigeria, equipping practitioners with essential skills and expanding the reach of sports journalism across various platforms.
