Ten vulnerable persons benefit from Kano college scholarship

The Aminu Kano College of Islamic and Legal Studies has offered ten scholarships to the Orphanage, less privileged and physically challenged Kano indigent students in collaboration with the Alkhairi Orphanage and Women Development.

The college provost, Prof. Balarabe Abubakar Jakada made this known on Friday when he received the delegation of Alkhairi Orphanage and Women Development headed by the Executive Director of the organization Comrade Ruƙayya Abdulrahman.

Professor Balarabe Abubakar Jakada said that despite closing the institution’s admission, the school management will ensure that registered physically challenged, less privileged, and Orphanage by the association enrol into the college.

“The Aminu Kano College of Islamic and Legal Studies, has accepted to partner with the Alkhairi Orphanage and Women Development in its attempt to provide very clear direction, and Insha Allah we would provide the association some complimentary application forms so as to distribute to the needy”, said the provost.

In her remark, the Executive Director of the Alkhairi Orphanage and Women Development Comrade Ruƙayya Abdulrahman says the rationale behind the visit was to establish a good working relationship with the institution for the betterment of the vulnerable persons, physically challenged and Orphanage students.

Comrade Ruƙayya Abdulrahman added that, so far, the body has achieved milestones, especially in girls’ education, saying that the body is collaborating with some tertiary institutions in the state.

She appreciated the provost over his committed service to humanity and the warm reception accorded to the organization.
