Terrorists kill 25 farmers, abducts dozens in Niger
Terrorists have reportedly killed 25 farmers and abducted scores of people from various communities in Rafi Local Government Area of Niger State.
This comes a day after the killing of 13 members of the vigilante and abduction of many villagers in Kusharki village.
The attack reportedly took place on Saturday sometime around 2:00pm across five villages.
A community leader in one of the affected villages, who pleaded to remain anonymous alleged that the bandits have resumed attacks in some villages in the local government.

He further alleged that the community was under siege by the bandits two weeks back as the insecurity persists.

Senator representing Niger East Senatorial District, Mohammed Sani Musa expressed concern that the bandits had resumed attacks on 4 local government councils; Rafi, Paikoro, Munya and Shiroro where were in his constituency.
The State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Wasiu Abiodun, confirmed the attack.
He however could not ascertain the casualty figure.

Abiodun said police in collaboration with the military have been dispatched to Yakila, Tegina, Kagara, Pandogari, Kusherki and other villages to restore normalcy in the affected areas.
