Thuggery Clash: Vigilante leader killed in Kano

The Kano State Police Command has confirmed the death of Mukhtar Garba Baballiya, a vigilante group leader in Ja’en community, Gwale Local Government Area during a thuggery clash.

SolaceBase reports that the incident occurred on Tuesday night when the vigilante group leader tried to intervene in a dispute between Ja’en Makera and Ja’en Unguwar Lalle thugs, where he was stabbed.

The vigilant group leader was rushed to Murtala Muhammad Specialist Hospital, where he was confirmed dead.

Confirming the incident to SolaceBase, on Wednesday, Kano Police Public Relations Officer SP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa said their personnel responded swiftly to the scene and brought the situation under control and one suspect has been apprehended in connection with the incident.
