PHOTOS: Tinubu arrives Kano to condole Dantata’s family
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu arrived in Kano on Friday afternoon to pay a condolence visit to the family of the late Alhaji Aminu Dantata.
SolaceBase reports that the revered businessman and philanthropist Aminu Dantata passed away on June 28, 2025, at the age of 94, in the United Arab Emirates and was buried in Saudi Arabia
The Presidential aircraft touched down at the Malam Aminu Kano International Airport at 3:30 p.m., where he was warmly received by Kano State Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, along with top government officials and prominent members of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Among those present to welcome the President were former Kano deputy governorship candidate in the 2023 general elections, Nasiru Yusuf Gawuna, his deputy, Murtala Sule Garo, APC Chairman Abdullahi Abbas, and Minister of State for Housing, Abdullahi Ata, among others.

President Tinubu was accompanied on the trip by the Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, his deputy, Barau Jibril, several ministers, and other top-ranking officials.
Recalls that Tinubu was out of the country at the time of Dantata’s burial; he however, directed a delegation, led by the Minister of Defence, Mohammed Badaru Abubakar, to represent him at the Janazah in Saudi Arabia, where the nonagenarian was laid to rest.
