Tinubu mourns Emir of Dutse

The presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, has expressed sorrow over the death of the Emir of Dutse, Nuhu Muhammadu Sanusi.

SOLACEBASE had reported that Alhaji Nuhu Muhammadu Sanusi, died in Abuja on Tuesday at the age of 78.

A statement issued by the Tinubu Media Office in Abuja and signed by Abdulaziz Abdulaziz, the APC presidential candidate described the late emir as a modern leader who led his people to greater development and prosperity.

“The late Emir of Dutse earned the respect of people far and near for his forthrightness, exemplary dignity and visionary leadership. Under his reign the small town of Dutse underwent unprecedented transformation which brought development and prosperity to his people,’’ the statement said.

“His keen interest and investment in education would be missed and remembered for a long time.

“For me it is a personal loss. I lost a good friend who followed my trajectory and progress. During my visit to him on January 21 as part of my campaign trip to Jigawa State, he revealed this much including the values and career paths we shared.’’

It would be recalled that during Mr Tinubu’s courtesy call on the late emir he described the APC candidate as someone with the requisite experience to lead Nigeria.

“Nigeria had been polarised before. You were able to bring the North and South together under this administration,” the emir had said.

Tinubu extended condolences to Governor Muhammad Badaru Abubakar, the people of Dutse Emirate and the entire people of Jigawa State over loss of the monarch.

The APC candidate prayed for God’s mercy and forgiveness for the soul of the late emir and comfort for the family in their moment of grief.
