President Bola Tinubu is holding a meeting with traditional rulers from across the country at the State House in Abuja.

The royal fathers were led by Alhaji Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar III, Sultan of Sokoto, and Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi , the Ooni of Ife.

The reason for the meeting was not immediately known, but it was gathered that it could be part of moves by the president to avert the planned protest against the economic hardship in the country.

The president has held meetings with different stakeholders over the planned nationwide protest.

Tinubu met with governors elected on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
