Tinubu’s ally, Bwala jubilates over Ndume’s removal as  Senate’s Chief Whip

Former lawmaker and friend of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Daniel Bwala, has reacted to the removal of Senator Mohamed Ali Ndume representing Borno South as Chief Whip on Wednesday.

He wrote on X, saying he is “Feeling vindicated” while sharing a newspaper report of Ndume’s removal.

Ndume has been replaced by Senator Tahir Mungono, who represents Borno North.

Ndume’s removal comes after his recent criticisms of Tinubu’s government.

PROMISES-DELIVERED

In a recent interview, Ndume said “Mr President is not in the picture of what is happening outside the Villa. He has been fenced off and caged. So many of us won’t go through the backdoor to engage him.

“The government is not doing anything about the food scarcity and it needs to do something urgently. We don’t have a food reserve. There is an unavailability of food. Food crisis is the worst crisis that any nation can encounter. If we add that to the security crisis, it will be severe.”

The submissions triggered a series of reactions from the pro-Tinubu camp, who described his statement as derogatory.

Earlier today, the senate took the unanimous resolution to replace Ndume after a letter of complaint against his utterances by the All Progressives Congress, APC, National Headquarters, was read by the President of the Senate, Senator Godswill Akpabio.
