Troost-Ekong returns from injury, scores winning goal for PAOK
William Troost-Ekong scored the winning goal as PAOK overcame Bosnian club Borac Banja Luka 3-2 on Wednesday.
This was the UEFA Champions League first leg, second round tie.
It was Troost-Ekong’s first game since the AFCON 2023 final in February following an injury-induced layoff.

With the game tied at 2-2, Ekong scored in the 51st minute to give his Greek side the first leg advantage.

The return leg will be played on July 31 with the winner over two legs advancing into the third round.
The return of Ekong will be good news for Nigeria as the Super Eagles look forward to the AFCON 2025 qualifiers.
