Kano State Governor, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje on Friday accompanied his political rival and Senator representing Kano Central , Malam Ibrahim Shekarau to his residence after funeral prayer of Late Sani Dahiru Yakasai.
Late Sani Dahiru Yakasai, a Kano based businessman died on Thursday night.
Funeral prayer for the late businessman was held at the Kano Emir’s palace, on Friday, attended by Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje and Malam Ibrahim Shekarau, among others.
SOLACEBASE recalls that Shekarau and Ganduje parted ways last year before the political parties primaries.
This led to Senator Shekarau dumping the APC for NNPP after legal battle that ended at the Supreme Court.
Later Shekarau dumped NNPP for PDP in the 2023 general elections.

Speaking to SOLACEBASE , on the development, Malam Ibrahim Shekarau’s Spokesman , Dr. Sule Y’au Sule said the duo met at the funeral prayer held at the Emir’s palace and governor Ganduje requested Shekarau join his car for them to proceed to the burial ground together.
”It was from the burial ground that Malam Shekarau decided to board his own vehicle back home, but Dr Ganduje insisted that since he brought the Senator to the cemetery, he would take him home,” Sule told SOLACEBASE.
”Remember also that Malam was a former governor of the state, so there is a mutual respect between them.”
