“We gave our best” – Muhuyi reflects as he ends tenure at Kano anti-corruption commission
The immediate past Chairman of the Kano State Public Complaints and Anti-Corruption Commission (PCACC), Barr. Muhuyi Magaji Rimin-Gado has described his exit from the Commission as an honourable conclusion to a challenging but purposeful journey.
In a personally signed statement released on Friday, Muhuyi reflected on his time at the Commission and said he was leaving with “pride and peace,” having done his best during his tenure.
The statement read in part, “This is, without doubt, a journey filled with challenges, but also with purpose and progress.
“I can firmly say this is an honourable exit and the best I could have hoped for. I leave fulfilled, knowing we gave our best,” the statement added.

He also thanked Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf for giving him the opportunity to serve and for reinstating him after a court ruling nullified his earlier suspension.
“Your decision to uphold the court’s decision and reinstate me wasn’t just about the law—it was about doing what’s right.
“I will always be grateful for the trust and confidence you reposed in me throughout my service under your administration.”

SolaceBase reports that Muhuyi also acknowledged the contributions of the Commission’s staff, civil society organisations, legal professionals, the media, and other stakeholders who worked with him during his time in office.
“I couldn’t have asked for a more committed and resilient team. You stood strong through every challenge, and I’m proud of what we achieved together,” he stated.
He concluded the message by wishing the Commission continued growth, and expressed hope that justice, fairness, and integrity would remain at the core of its operations.
