Wikki Tourists FC, Bauchi, Head coach, Abdul Maikaba, has resigned from his position at the club.
Maikaba said, in a letter dated 9 February 2026 and addressed to the club’s chairman that his decision became necessary due to disunity among stakeholders and threats to his life.
According to the letter made it difficult for him to achieve the team’s set objectives.
It read, “I will like to use this opportunity to notify the management of Wikki Tourists FC of my decision to resign as the technical adviser of the club with immediate effect.”

“I have received so many threats to my life in the course of carrying out this job from some sections of the fans either through physical attack or through social media platforms. For these reasons, I was forced to take the decision to quit after consulting my family members.
