Yusuf Datti elected as North West representative to Nigeria Tennis Federation Board

In a significant boost to sports development in Northern Nigeria, Yusuf Datti of the Kano State Tennis Association has been elected as the North West Zonal Representative to the Board of the Nigeria Tennis Federation (NTF).

SolaceBase reports that the election, conducted under the supervision of the National Sports Commission (NSC), North West Zone, took place in Kaduna.

According to a Certificate of Election released by the Zonal Electoral Committee on Saturday and sighted by SolaceBase, Datti’s emergence reflects the Commission’s commitment to ensuring fair and balanced representation for the zone, which includes Jigawa, Kaduna, Kano, Kebbi, Katsina, Sokoto, and Zamfara States.

The certificate, jointly signed by Rita Mosindi, Yakubu Chuntai Maikano, and Ihaji Damu, all members of the Zonal Electoral Committee-officially confirms Datti’s mandate to represent the North West Zone in national tennis affairs.

Mr. Datti’s election is regarded as a progressive step toward strengthening grassroots tennis and expanding access to sporting opportunities for young athletes across the region.
