Zazzau Emirate sacks palace guard over gang-raping of lady seeking assistance from Emir

The Emir of Zazzau, Ambassador Ahmed Nuhu Bamalli, has ordered for the immediate dismissal of Sama’ila Abubakar Rimin Tsiwa (One of the Palace Guard, Dogari) from the services of the Emirate.

This was contained in a statement issued on Tuesday by Zazzau Emirate Council, Media and Publicity Officer, Abdullahi Aliyu Kwarbai.

‘’A lady preparing for her wedding seeking for assistance from the Emir approach him (Sama’ila), to be taken  before the Emir but instead of doing that, he lured her to a location with his friends where they gang-raped her,’’ the statement said.

SOLACEBASE reports that the Emirate Council has directed the Police to speed-up with their investigations and ensure prosecution of the culprits without any delay.

It also promise to follow up with the case and ensure justice done to the lady.
