The Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi II, has been appointed Chancellor of Borno State University by the Government of Borno State.
The Vice Chancellor of the University Prof Umar Kyari Sandade, in company of the Permanent Secretary Borno State Ministry of Education and other Dons of the University presented the letter of appointment to Emir Muhammad Sanusi on Saturday in his palace.
Prof Umar Kyari Sandade told the Emir that his appointment as the Chancellor of University is based on merit after wide consultation with stakeholders.
In his acceptance speech, Muhammad Sanusi II appreciated the gesture and the confidence reposed in him to move the university to an enviable level with his wealth of experience
Solacebase recalled that Malam Muhammadu Sanusi is already the Chancellor of the University of Benin; the Chancellor of Skyline University, Kano and was recently appointed the Chancellor of Ekiti State University.
