ALGON urges APC to sanction Reps majority leader, Alhassan Doguwa over unruly behaviour

The Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON) has called for sanctioning of Majority Leader, House of Representatives, Alhassan Ado Doguwas over his unruly behavior at the residence of Kano deputy governor, Alhaji Nasiru Yusuf Gawuna, on Monday.

SOLACEBASE recalls that Alhassan Ado Doguwa had gate crashed into an APC stakeholders meeting in Kano, on Monday where the meeting ended in crisis over his alleged harassment of some of the stakeholders including the party deputy governorship candidate in Kano, Murtala Sule Garo.

Kano State ALGON Chairman, Muhammad Baffa Takai made the call in a statement released on Wednesday night and made available to journalists.

Baffa who is also the Chairman of Takai Local Government Council said the act of Alhassan Ado Doguwa was embarrassing to the party as decorum was thrown to the wind and the attitude does not reflect the political culture imbibed from the leadership of governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje.

‘’We’re appealing to the leadership of the party at the state and national level to sanctioned the House of Representatives majority leader, Alhassan Doguwa for bringing the party to disrepute with his action and to serve as deterrence to others in the future,‘’ Muhammad Baffa Takai said.

‘’On behalf of the 44 local government chairmen in Kano, I appealed to Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, the party leadership in the state, the APC governorship candidate, Nasiru Yusuf Gawuna, his deputy, Murtala Sule Garo and other party stakeholders who witnessed the show of shame by Alhassan Doguwa.‘’

”We pray for continuous peaceful coexistence in the state and success of all our party candidates in the next general elections.”
