Another Ganduje’s critic , Bashir Gentile in trouble as police launch manhunt for him

Tension in Kano as Police continue manhunt for critics (Bashir Gentile) of the state governor, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje.

Solacebase investigation reveals that several well known critic of Ganduje are either in jail, released on bail, in hiding or flee the country for safety.

A well known critic and political affairs commentator, Bashir Gentile is the latest among such being invited by the police after efforts to arrest him failed.

Solacebase was informed by a source that Bashir Gentile was invited by the Police from the State Criminal Investigation Department on Monday, after several attempt to ambush and arrest him failed.

The source said the police said there was a criminal deformation petition against the political commentator and his attention is needed to address the issue.

According to the source , the complainant is Bella Kano, a revenue consultant engaged by Kano State Government to boost its internal revenue.

‘’Look it is Ganduje using Bella Kano as a proxy to deal with Gentile due to his incessant criticism of the present administration in the state over several ills ,’’ the source told Solacebase.

Bashir Gentile, an associate of former governor of the state, Ibrahim Shekarau, who is the leader of the APC G-7 in Kano , (A faction of the APC opposed to the Ganduje led group of the party) and  also an aide to President of the Senate Ahmad Lawan was said to have told the police that he was out of town.

Many critics of the governor such as Barrister Sa’ida Bugaje has to flee the country when her life was in danger and same for Publisher of Daily Nigerian, Jafa’ar Jafa’ar who published  video allegedly showing Abdullahi Ganduje collecting $5m bribe from contractors, is taking refuge in London.

Similarly, Muaz Magaji, a former commissioner in the state and fierce critic of the governor was almost killed when the police race after him in Abuja till he had an accident , where he was subsequently bundle into an aircraft to Kano.

He was later arraigned before a Magistrate court, allegedly known for handling cases with the interest of the state governor and remanded in prison before granted bail.

Also, another critic of Abdullahi Ganduje,  Abdulmajid Danbilki Kwamanda was arraigned before the same Magistrate, Aminu Gabari and remanded in prison.

Though he has been granted bail but with stringent conditions yet to be met.

Most of all these critics of Kano State Governor, whenever they are invited by the police, the offence is not far fetch , because it is criminal deformation.

Solacebase  contacted Spokesman of the Kano Police Command, SP Abdullahi Kiyawa, who said he was not aware of the situation but promised to get back to this reporter immediately he is briefed on the issue.
