The All Progressive Congress APC has won all the 44 local Government chairmanship and 484 councilorship elections in Kano state.
Chairman, Kano state independent electoral commission, (KANSIEC) Professor Garba Ibrahim Sheka on Sunday announced the results of Saturday’s election.
Solacebase reports that 12 political parties took part in the election.
Prof. Garba Sheka said the total vote cast in the council poll on Saturday was 2, 350, 577.
He said even though minor errors were encountered during the election process, he explained that the poll was largely successful and peaceful.

The commission chairman applauded the state government for not interfering in the election activities.
Prof. Garba Sheka also appreciated the people of Kano state for their peaceful conduct.
