The Court of Appeal sitting in Abuja on Monday affirmed the election of Governor Ahmed Aliyu of Sokoto State.

The appeal of the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party in the March 18 governorship election, Sai’du Umar, that challenged the declaration of Governor Ahmed as the duly elected governor of the state, was unanimously dismissed for failure to successfully prove his allegations.
