Troops of Operation Lafiya Dole on Sunday arrested a wanted Boko Haram suspect, Maje Lawan at Banki in Borno state.
The suspect is believed to be number 96 on the wanted list earlier published by the Nigerian Army.
In a statement signed by the Director of Army Public Relations, Brigadier General Texas Chukwu he revealed that the suspect was apprehended after he infiltrated into the Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) camp in the area.
General Chukwu added that the suspect is currently undergoing preliminary investigation and would be handed over to the appropriate authority for further action.
He reminded member of the public to be vigilance and report any suspicious person, movements as well as activities to the law enforcement agents for prompt action.
