Bauchi State Government has confirmed a fresh case of COVID-19 after 2 weeks without any new case.
The State Commissioner of health Aliyu Maigoro stated this in a statement issued on Sunday.
According to the statement, the latest patient is a staff of the World Health Organisation who has a travel history to Kano.
In the statement, he said the building housing the World Health Organisation and UNICEF have been decontaminated and sealed for two weeks in line with international best practice to prevent the spread of the disease.

‘’Also, all persons who came in contact with the new COVID-19 patient both in Kano and Bauchi are being traced, ‘’said the statement.
However, Bauchi has only two active cases of COVID-19.
