Boko Haram Beheads Governor’s Security Aide

Boko Haram members, on Tuesday evening, beheaded one of  Governor Ibrahim Gaidam’s security aide in Kukareta, a suburb of Damaturu, the Yobe State capital.

The deceased,  Inspector Ahmed, ADC to the Chief Detail of the Governor alongside his colleagues, were returning to Damaturu after escorting the governor’s children to Maiduguri where they flew to Abuja .

According to a source that spoke to Solacebase from Damaturu on Wednesday the convoy met the Boko Haram insurgents dressed in military uniform at a roadblock that was initially manned by the military that were over powered after the terrorist took control of the point .

He said the policeman approached the insurgents with the bel that they were military personnel to inquire from them the reason for blocking the high way for the convoy but was shot and taken captive before he was beheaded.

It was gathered that the remaining police escorts ran back without any attempt to rescue their colleague.

A police source who does not want his name to be published confirmed the killing and the beheading of the Inspector.
